Taylor Counseling
Services conducts
seminars, in-services and workshops for a variety of groups including
professional organizations, women or men's clubs, and corporations.
These programs cover a wide range of topics which are of interest to
individuals, community groups and businesses such as managing stress,
anger management, workplace violence, improving relationships at home and
in the workplace, and how to be happier by taking more effective control
of your life.
Crisis
Intervention and Debriefing is also a service that
is provided to area businesses and schools. Mr. Taylor is specially trained in
Critical Incident Stress Management and Debriefings and is a Certified
Disaster Mental Health Worker for the American Red Cross and is a member
of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.
A Substance
Abuse Program has been developed at Taylor Counseling Services
that is dedicated to meeting the needs of adults and adolescents in Shelby County and the surrounding areas who are struggling with substance abuse issues as
well as mental/emotional health or behavioral issues. This program
is specifically designed to help individuals who may be abusing or
addicted to chemical substances through proven clinical methods in a
confidential and caring environment.
Anger
Management evaluations and counseling is offered for adults and adolescents who have difficulty controlling their anger within their family, school, work and/or community. This is a psychoeducational program
using the 'Anderson & Anderson' model created by George Anderson, PhD
that was used in making the motion picture "Anger Management"
staring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholason. The focus of the sessions
are to help the participants identify underlying issues that may trigger
anger and to develop assertive rather than aggressive solutions.
